Dawn Paulson

Dawn is a born and raised Alaskan. After college she began her career in child protection with the state of Idaho. She returned to Alaska in 2006 where she led groups on parenting, marriage, Casey Family Program’s Strengthening Families, and more. She began volunteering with Beacon Hill in January 2015 and became staff in March 2016 as a Family Coach Supervisor for Safe Families for Children and then expanding the Mat-Su services to include Family Support Center and Heart Gallery of Alaska mobile gallery. As Beacon Hill has grown, Dawn is stepping into the role of Family Support Director to oversee the family contact work in addition to launching Family Resource Centers and foster parent support. Dawn has a passion for strengthening families in Mat-Su and across Alaska. She and her husband live in Palmer where they raise their four children and spend lots of time mat side at wrestling and other sporting events. Their home is always open to others whether it be neighborhood children, supporting foster and adoptive families or hosting children through Safe Families for Children.
