Each year, the Alaska Advanced Trauma Training Institute features local Alaskan and national experts who share the latest research and advances in the neurobiology of traumatic stress, trauma-informed systems, and clinical interventions for complex trauma in children and adults. The goal is to expand the knowledge of and support the development of trauma-informed care for behavioral health and social service providers across Alaska.
Now, the Rural Child Trauma Training Institute builds on that goal, with a focus on providing complex trauma informed care for children living in both rural and urban communities.
Alaska Behavioral Health has recently joined the Complex Trauma Training Consortium (CTTC) as a field site. CTTC is a national trainer-training and workforce development initiative designed to establish sustainable local expertise in complex trauma understanding, assessment, and treatment across all U.S. states and territories, Washington, D.C., and the four largest metropolitan areas. Additional information about the consortium can be found here.
For this year’s Rural Trauma Training Institute, we are pleased to present 3 courses from the CTTC curriculum.
This is a one-day conference that will be offered via Zoom. There is no fee to attend.
