DiNovo is also a MSW program coordinator for the university and coordinates their Graduate Drug and Addictions Studies Certificate Program. \nThis webinar is offered through CEU Creations (a Triad company)\, and a continuing education credit is available. SUMMARY:AFN Annual Convention
DESCRIPTION:For sixty years\, the Alaska Federation of Natives has united Alaska Native peoples in advocacy\, leadership\, and purpose. Our 2026 theme\, Rooted in Land and Tradition\, Rising in Our Voices\, reflects both our foundation and our future. Grounded in the lands\, waters\, cultures\, and traditions that have sustained our peoples since time immemorial\, we come together to elevate our collective voice in shaping policies\, protecting our rights\, and strengthening our communities. As we celebrate this historic milestone\, we honor those who came before us while empowering the next generation to carry our shared vision forward—rooted in our heritage\, united in purpose\, and rising together. \n\nThe annual convention serves as the principal forum and voice for the Alaska Native community in addressing critical issues of public policy and government. The convention convenes thousands of official delegates and participants from membership organizations across the state. \nAt the Convention\, delegates discuss strategic opportunities and challenges\, listen to memorable keynote speeches\, hear reports from political leaders and presentations from expert panels\, and share stories of resilience\, experiences\, strengths\, knowledge\, and hope for the future. The resolutions passed by the voting delegates set the priorities for the year and guide AFN’s efforts. The Convention is the largest representative annual gathering of Native peoples in the United States.
