Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI®) is an evidence-based attachment-based, trauma-informed, whole-child approach to meeting the needs of children and youth who have experienced early adversity, toxic stress, and/or relational trauma. The TBRI® model was developed at TCU by Dr. Karyn Purvis and Dr. David Cross to address the effects of early adversity and relational trauma through three synergistic principles: Connecting, Empowering, and Correcting. TBRI has been utilized throughout the world to support healing in all ages. In this training we will explore the science that informed the development of TBRI®, the effectiveness of the interventions, and a deep dive into the interventions. Each participant will leave the training with a plan on how to utilize TBRI® in their own practice.
