Marti Smith, OTR/L, will teach how our sensory preferences and regulatory capacities develop in the first three years and strategies to maximize adaptation and resilience.

Marti, a 1996 Indiana University graduate, was a Child Trauma Academy Fellow and a TBRI Travis County Collaborative participant. She is a co-founder of Simple Sparrow Farm, a non-profit where she collaborates with owner/president Jamie Tanner to help heal individuals through farm related activities. Marti specializes in sensory regulation as it relates to trauma and has helped develop the sensory portions of the CTA’s NMT and TCU’s TBRI education. She has been an international speaker since 2004, sharing her passion to help children in creative, fun, inexpensive, and simple therapeutic ways. Marti is certified in Therapeutic Listening, Interactive Metronome, CiSM, Athletic Training, and Massage Therapy.
